A little late to the conversation Geezer but a couple things: Rear end collisions- After 30 years on these bikes with no mishaps other than laying my Dyna down while drag racing through a fire house. Those floors are slippery! Don’t do that. But I digress. For most of us we own these bikes as a leisure vehicle. Few of us, but there are some, rely on these bikes for primary transportation. I NEVER run errands on my bike here in Florida and I didn’t in Vegas. A run to the bar, ya; no problem but the idiots are out there on their phones and they aren’t seeing you. I’ll go to the hardware store in my Super Duty. Heat- Since my first bagger in 2003 I have run AmsOil in all my bikes. It works. The engines, including my current M8 114, run cooler and quieter. Also, the big heat culprit is the catalytic converter. This 2020 RKS was HOT! Abnormally hot. I yanked that head pipe off and installed a Supertrapp head pipe without the cat. Dropped those temps dramatically. Between Ams and the cat delete, she’s much cooler and quieter. Thanks Geezer. Stay upright and drive your truck to the store so shithead doing his FaceBook while driving doesn’t find you.
Some great thoughts. I did have the Harley torque cam put in my triglide. It a very heavy trike with a passenger and here in Texas they fly. It makes merging easier when I have to ride on the highways.
